Ayurveda is one of the oldest medical sciences in the world originating in India over 5000 years ago. In its simplest form, it offers the understanding that everything in this world, both subtle and material, including ourselves, is made up of a unique combination of the 5 Elements; Ether, Air, Fire, Water & Earth. These elements are constantly in flux, adapting to environmental change, the weather, the time of year, the seasons, time of day.

As the seasons shift, temperatures drop and nights begin to draw in, our bodies work hard to rebalance. Autumn & early Winter is considered  to be a transitional time for our system and it is important at this time, that we begin to conserve our energy, turn inwards for contemplation and adapt our diets and lifestyle to avoid seasonal colds, coughs, and flus.

The workshop includes:

  • 5 Elements yoga practice, activating Hearing, Touch, Sight, Taste & Smell
  • Fundamentals of Ayurveda discussion
  • Facial self-massage demonstration
